Wednesday at school was Princess day in Kathryn's room and PJ day in Patrick's room. Which made my kids dressed in extremes: K was overdressed and P was underdressed. They both enjoyed their days.
And were very sleepy after supper.

So we just hung out together in the living room and watched a Franklin DVD

Gramma and Grampy were cleaning out their camper trailer when we arrived so the kids had to get in and check it out. Maybe next year we'll try camping! Especially if we can borrow this trailer!

On August 15, we hosted my extended family (My dad, his brothers, and all the spouses, kids and kids' kids - 28 people) for a reunion/pool party. I posted all the pics on FB but here are some highlights of Kathryn. Patrick spent the majority of the time inside fleeing from the crowd and noise and commotion and being his introverted self.

My cousin and his girlfriend brought their dogs - two very cute and well behaved pugs that Kathryn just absolutely adored.

We've actually been to Story Book Park quite a few times this year but this was the first trip I took a camera. We went this time with friends which made it extra special!

The deer are always a huge hit. I love the noises they make. This year K was brave enough to feed them corn right from her hand!

They also really like the funny Monkeys. They are enclosed within 2 perimeter fences so they need to be fed thru tubes. K loves being tall enough to do it herself!

I'm hoping we get back just one last time. But it will depend on the weather!

We hosted a baby shower for the newest family member - Ms. Abby - on Saturday. Despite a poor start, weather wise, it turned out lovely and everyone was able to enjoy the pool and deck. Plus they got some great gifts!

Patrick is now big enough for the bike we gave him for his birthday and Kathryn has figured out peddles. It is so freekin adorable!!! I got a great video too (see below).

Next step - Helmits and a longer bike - maybe to the park and back!
