The kids had an awesome day yesterday! They had a great time opening and enjoying gifts and really seemed to get into the spirit of it all.
We had Christmas morning here together with just the 4 of us. We opened stockings from Santa and gifts under the tree. We tried REALLY HARD not to completely spoil our kids, but we did get them some nice things! Patrick got a set of 4 play kitchen appliances, some hotwheels sets and craft things. Kathryn got a dolly, a new push toy to chase around and a dolphin lamp. Both kids got ornaments for the tree and we got them a v-smile game system.

Patrick opening his kitchen appliances. The toaster is really fun - it pretty much propells the toast across the room. Fun stuff! There is also a blender, coffee maker and mixer, and each set came with accessories!

After we'd attacked the tree here, we got cleaned up a bit and headed to Shaun's parents place 4-blocks over for more presents! It was a whirlwind of unwrapping and a lot of nice things were exchanged.
Patrick seemed most taken with his teaching clock and magna doodle, and Kathryn was thrilled to get her own plush foam chair. I was most thrilled with their new clothes! Yahoo! Now the only problem is chosing which they wear first....
We came back here for naps and showers, and after K got up we went back to Shaun's parents place for Christmas dinner. It was DELICIOUS and Kathryn made us all proud with her eating skills! Its so nice to have a child that isn't so picky! Patrick ended up eating nothing and spent time 'resting' on the couch and watching a DVD so we could enjoy in peace.
After dinner, we enjoyed eachother's company. Kathryn spent most of the time perfecting her stair climbing abilities! Fortunately we took turns because spotting her makes for a sore back after a while.
We headed for home shortly after 7 and both kids were in bed and asleep by 7:30.
It was a wonderful whirlwhind day!! And we are looking forward to more Christmas fun with my family on the 29th and on the 1st.

Wow it looks like you had a great holiday...thanks for sharing the photos.
I really like the one of Patrick playing the V-Smile...if it is supposed to make him smile it is working :) He looks like he is really enjoying it!
